I am now back and work and have been terrible about blogging. I started back July 1st. Two weeks prior to my start date we all got a bad respiratory virus and then I got pink eye the week before. I looked like a mess my first week back. I am adjusting though. Linden is doing well at daycare, but she had a rough start too. She had several days of crying. We put her on medication for her reflux and that helped a little bit, but we have found that her major issue was that she wanted to be fed by Ben or me. If we weren’t there at feeding time, she would have a meltdown and her tummy would get upset. She loves Cathy the daycare lady now. It took about a month for her to adjust.
In August Ben took a week off of work to attend the PGA championship tournament. I was able to go one day to watch the practice rounds with him and on the Final day. On the practice day we walked around to all of the holes and Ben was able to get lots of autographs. On the final day, we sat in the stands by the 18th and 9th holes. They were next to each other. The day ranged from sunny to rainy and there was a swirling wind. We watched Y.E. Yang beat Tiger Woods. It seemed like Tiger could have won, but he was playing very conservatively and Yang was playing to win. It was a great day to relax and spend together. It was fun to see all of the golfers too!

At the end of August we took the kids to the Minnesota State Fair. We had good food and a wonderful time at the great Minnesota get together. We took Xander to the Mall of America the weekend prior to the fair to see if he liked the rides and he did. He loved the rides at the State Fair also!

It was all fun until this next ride…

Xander thought it was great until the balloon ride went high and started spinning. He was crying and hit his head and after that we cried on every ride. Despite the trauma, he still enjoyed the Pronto Pups and we moved on to the Little Farm Hands and that was a lot of fun!

Aunt Angie came and stayed over Labor Day weekend and Xander, Angie, and I went back to the fair. It was a short trip because Xander was a little under the weather, but he still managed to eat two Pronto Pups, Dip n’ Dots, Sweet Martha’s Cookies, and an apple cider icy.

The kids enjoyed the weekend with their Auntie. They both loved her phone!

As for the rest of the summer, we have been enjoying watching the Twins and spending time as a family. Xander has been having lots of fun playing Rock Band with his daddy. Xander calls the game Rock Star.

As for Linden, she is growing like a weed! She is a happy and healthy little girl. She is working on rolling over and does much better playing on tummy time. She started baby food and has tried applesauce, pears, sweet potatoes, and peas so far. She loves them all! She always has a smile to give. Just before she turned 5 months old she started playing peek a boo. What a sweet girl!

That’s a quick summary of the rest of our summer. I will be better at blogging now that I have adjusted to life with two kids a little more. As you can see, we are excited for the beginning of football season! Go Vikings and Broncos!
